Senior Interior Architect

We are a Kuala Lumpur-based High-End Residential design studio, and we are looking for a Senior IA to join our growing team. We are a well-established company with a huge presence in the world of interiors and want like-minded designers to become a crucial part of our brand.

This is an office-based role Mon – Friday, 9am till 6pm.

You will need the following experience:

  • Degree qualification in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design
  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch Up, 3D Max and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience at a Senior Designer level with good knowledge of running high-end projects
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

This role will include:

  • Being creative, logistical, and taking lead with projects as well as presentations
  • Develop concepts that provide an original approach and effective solution to the creative brief
  • Able to sell concepts and design solutions to the client
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with other members of the design team to generate accurate, technical, and creative design solutions
  • Taking lead and managing the team across all stages of the project and reporting back to manager
  • Being involved in building strong relationships with their clients throughout the creative process.

Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

We are looking for dynamic individuals with a keen eye for detail and well-versed in
Quantity Survey for interior projects.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
  • 5 years experience as a quantity surveyor.
  • Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Sound knowledge of construction.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Great networking abilities.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
  • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts, to ensure the best deals.
  • Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.
  • Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
  • Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
  • Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Traveling from the office to various sites as required.

Draftsman /Technologists

You will need the following experience:

  • Hold a relevant qualification
  • Fully proficient in programmes including Revit and Autocad. Ability in Sketchup and Photoshop desired.
  • Excellent technical design skills
  • Experience in detailing complex buildings and ability to produce comprehensive working drawing packages
  • Proven ability to run projects across technical work stages
  • Experience in working on building developments with good knowledge of the Building Regulations.

Working alongside Architects, Technicians, and Interior Designers, the role will be primarily focused on:

  • Prepare and coordinate design, production and construction package information using technical skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, NBS Chorus and BIM360 would be desirable
  • Good working knowledge of construction methods and Building Regulations.
  • Liaison with internal and external consultants in the production of specialist design information.
  • Liaison with planning & building control authorities.
  • Input into pre-construction information.
  • Review and update design risk assessments on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and hit deadlines.
  • Able to take the initiative to solve technical issues
  • Keen to work in a team environment, but also happy to work independently.
  • Dynamic, flexible, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Support the adoption and alignment with the ISO 19650 standards would be desirable.
